BOSS WL-60
The BOSS system to choose when stage control and transmitter endurance outrank plug-in convenience.
WL-60 uses a compact bodypack transmitter and pedal receiver with a large display, channel scan and long AA-battery runtime. It retains BOSS's 2.3 ms stated latency.
Best suited to
Gigging players who want visible channel information and a replaceable-battery transmitter.
Look elsewhere if
You dislike bodypacks and short instrument cables, or specifically want 5.8 GHz operation.
Buying analysis
Where the WL-60 fits
WL-60 is more deliberate than BOSS's automatic plug-in systems. Its receiver shows channel conditions and lets the player choose rather than hiding RF decisions completely. That visibility is useful when several wireless devices share a stage.
The bodypack is less elegant at home but more flexible professionally. A replaceable cable handles awkward output jacks and can be changed if damaged; AA cells also avoid making an ageing sealed battery the transmitter's retirement date.
