Xvive's A58 moves its compact format to 5.8 GHz and adds active/passive modes, six channels and automatic channel scanning. The trade-off is a five-hour stated runtime.
Best suited to
Guitarists who want plug-in convenience but need explicit support for high-output active pickups.
Look elsewhere if
Five hours between charges is tight for your schedule or you prefer the protection of a pedalboard receiver.
Buying analysis
Where the A58 fits
The A58 addresses two practical weaknesses of the original U2: it moves away from the busier 2.4 GHz band and provides a proper level mode for active electronics. That makes it the safer Xvive plug-in system for modern active guitars and basses.
Automatic scanning is useful, but it is not a substitute for sensible RF practice. Scan at the venue with the rest of the band's wireless equipment switched on, then confirm the transmitter and receiver are on the selected channel.
